The weekend before school got out we took the kids on our first camping trip of the summer.

It was only 30 min from our house and we could not believe we had not discovered this place until now.

I love red rock and I was happy to discover some so close to home.

Utah just keeps surprising me.

The kids made friends with the families camping just down from us and had a blast exploring all trails behind our site.

The hammock, like always, provided hours of entertainment.
We played a few rounds of “pooh sticks”.  You know from Winnie the Pooh.  It’s where you drop a stick in the water on one side the bridge and then run and see if come out the other side.

It’s always thrilling.

It was a pretty great trip.  Much better than our previous camping trip where we woke up to snow.
