We had one last hurrah before school started (school started at 8:00am the morning after we got home).

It was an actual vacation, not just a “family trip”.  You get what I’m saying? That means it was actually relaxing and I only yelled and swore at the kids a few times. :)

We have decided that Holly is coming on all Navasard/Rensink vacation’s from here on out.  It was heaven having her there.

Weather was ideal, all kids but Ruby slept soundly, the lake was perfection, and the company was pretty good too.

We mostly hung out at the beach and played in the amazingly shallow water, as one should when visiting Bear Lake.

We did make a visit to the Minnetonka Caves, which were awesome.  And well worth the 800+ stairs.

We also tried Bear Lake’s ”famous raspberry shakes”.  But, take my advice, always stick with chocolate.

And we of course explored the campground and took note of what spots we want next year.

We even got to play games once the kids went to bed.  I can’t remember a recent camping trip where I have had any energy left to play games at the end of the day.  It was good for my soul.

The only real stress of the trip was getting the paddle boards from the rental place to our beach spot.  Next year though, we’ll have it down.

Back to real life after an amazing camping trip with some of our favorite people.  And yes, we wake up looking this good.
