Since You Only Turn Six Once
Like most things that happened last year, Macey’s 5th birthday wasn’t quite as exciting or fun as I would of liked it to be due to the lovely nausea of pregnancy. This year we made up for it.
It began with Macey having her first real friend birthday party. Lucky for me I decided to do it at Creativity Art Studio, since we were unexpectedly gone for over a week right before her birthday. It was heaven not having to clean and then have my house destroyed by a group of 5 and 6 year olds.
She couldn’t of been happier to go to school on her birthday and loved getting to wear a crown all day. Plus, we brought in Fun Dips to share with her class.
After school we met Maddy and Libby at Chuck E Cheese.
She also had Hip-Hop that day and since we can’t make homemade treats for school, she really wanted to make marshmallow pops for her dance friends. I obliged, since all I had to do was melt the chocolate for her.
The day then ended with her favorite meal of pancakes, opening presents and a carousel cake with rainbow sherbet ice cream cones.
All in all I’d say it was a good day. Or as Macey said, “That was the best, best, best, best, bestest birthday ever!” Love Birthdays and this girl.
