Halloween Festivities
This year we had quite the eventful Halloween.
*We actually, we celebrated Halloween a day early, on Saturday. In Utah they do things like that, change holidays. I didn’t mind one bit though.
We started off our celebrations last Saturday by hitting up a local store that was doing Halloween activities, Macey choose to dress as a Pirate for this event. Then there was the much anticipated Preschool Halloween Party where she picked to wear her Minnie Mouse dress up. On Friday we got to go to Paul’s new work for Trick or Treating. We also attended our first ever Trunk or Treat with our neighbors. Macey loved getting to see all her friends and it worked out because we only went to a handful of houses due to our beautiful weather.
On “Halloween” (remember Utah changed it to Saturday) we started off the day by having our friend/neighbor/babysitter Holly take some pictures of us in our costumes. It made for a stressful morning, due to the fact that someone hadn’t even started getting their costume together (Paul). But, when the rain started I was glad we had already gotten pictures of everyone in their costumes.
Despite the rain, wind, and thunder we layered up and ventured out for some Trick or Treating, which is all Macey has been talking about for a month. She LOVED that everyone was calling her Ariel and couldn’t have been happier with my choice of dressing up as Dora. All evening she kept saying, “Dora, I love you!”. Once Miles got a piece of candy for each hand he was content as could be and was quite satisfied with his first Halloween.
We ended the evening by leaving our kids with a babysitter and heading to a Halloween Party, from which we did not return until 1:00 am! I know, we are quite the party animals. :)

Then since today is Halloween for the rest of the country we decided to celebrate again by having a festive dinner consisting of mummy dogs, jello jigglers, peaches, orange pop, and mud pie.
Pretty much it was the best Halloween ever, well at least until next year.
