Since I still feel nauseated most of the time Macey had to plan and decorate for her own party (I let her invite 2 friends over for lunch)
, poor neglected child!
I thought her table arrangement turned out divine!
Macey's menu for her Petshop themed tea party was also very well received by her guests.
We found these gable boxes at Hobby Lobby and thought they'd be perfect to turn into Petshop houses. All I did was pull out my sticker collection from my teaching days and a few boxes of markers, and these lovely ladies were entertained for quite sometime.
Pretty sure party planning could be in her future.
Macey of course also wanted her big friends
to come over (jenni and trina), so I thought this was the perfect excuse for me to make her the rainbow cake I'd seen on Pinterest!
Other random birthday pictures:
Love this girl and I'm so glad she is mine!
Pretty sure Macey has a future with America's Next Top Model. Macey really brought it for her 5th Birthday Photo Shoot. She picked the location, helped move Miles' crib out of the way, and then worked it for the camera without any direction from me.
I don't know where she comes up with these things, but I have to say I love it and obviously need to be taking a few notes for myself.
Enjoy a few
of Macey's best poses.
Macey's Current Favorites:
Toy: Petshops & Zoobles
Song: Gwen Stephani "Sweet Escape"
To Do: Play pirates in her bunk bed w/ Tajen, dance, gymnastics, anything outside, and Mom & Macey Preschool
I know I say it every year, but I cannot believe she's 5! While I am sad she's getting so big, I'm also finding I love having this little friend to hang out and chat with all the time (as long as I get a little break each day).
We went to mall just us last week and for the first time she loved looking at the all the clothes with me! She was showing me all these outfits she thought were cute and they actually were! I of course caved and bought her the adorable flats she was eyeing, as well as a few graphic tees she wanted. I envisioned many fun shopping trips together in the future.
So, while I'll shed a few (or a lot of ) tears over leaving toddlerhood behind, I find I'm excited for our next stage. But, then again kindergarten registration starts this week...makes me want to cry just thinking about it.
